Description

A great example of Bansky's Street Art in Bloomington, IN!
No Manipulation!
Peace!

EDIT: I did minor cropping, lightening to the sign and sky.

EDIT 2: I got another critique on this but did not think it was fair, what do you think? [link]

Before anything else, I have to say you executed the image well, especially considering that it was taken during a very contrasty time of day on a day with nothing to diffuse the light, like clouds.

Now here's why, specifically, I've scored you so low on "Originality" and "Impact"

Originality
You did not create the art that you photographed. The photograph itself is technically fine (thus a 4/5 score there), but the artistic element within the image is not yours.

If I am incorrect in this assumption, please tell me and adjust your image description. I will happily change my critique accordingly.

Impact
Because of the point I made above, this one is more difficult to score. As a theme, it is horribly cliche and overdone. When I was the GM for the street gallery here at dA I'd move a dozen "stop sign + message" photos a week. It's in the same cliche group as taking a photo of your worn shoes. However, you did shoot it in a somewhat impactful way. So I scored this in-between technique and originality.

I hope you don't think this criticism is too harsh. I'm being honest and specific...generalizations don't carry any weight or usefulness. If you feel that I've been unfair at any point of this critique, please feel free to let me know where and why.

Keep shooting!
